What can Mr. Dean do to assist in the academic domain of the student?
1. Mr. Dean assists in academic intervention through our Beaver Academy. During this period of intervention, Mr. Dean collaborates with teachers on various subjects in which students find challenging. Through evidenced-based practices and data provided through teacher assessments, Mr. Dean provides small group interventions to students who may struggle in areas and only need a new approach in overcoming their barrier to success.
2. Mr. Dean assists students through the use of MTSS and BAIT process to identify possible learning gaps. Mr. Dean chairs this committee on a weekly basis to further assist students in identifying effective evidenced-based interventions.
3. Mr. Dean provides encouragement throughout the school year by issuing small rewards and aligning his program with the P.B.I.S. initiative at Swift Creek Elementary School.
